Simple kind of life was the 3rd single from Return of Saturn. While it was the only release from this album that made it into the US Billboard Charts (#38), it didn't do as well as previous releases overseas, reaching only #94 in Australia and #69 in the UK.
Still, for a song that was composed and recorded within a week, with no practice sessions, it is a great addition to an awesome album.
The third single from "Rock Steady", it featured the reggae vocals of "Lady Saw". The single was moderately successful, being nominated for a Teen Choice Award in 2003 and won a Grammy for "Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal" in 2004.
It peaked at #3 in the US (Hot 100), #8 in NZ, #18 in the UK, #28 in Australia and #36 in Canada.

This was the 4th single from the "Tragic Kingdom" album, a song that was originally to be released with a country/folk feel. However the band refused, the studio relented, and the punk/rock version was released instead. Went to #17 in the US.
