This was from about 1977. The best trumpet section, IMHO, MF had: Joe Mosello, Stan Mark, Dennis Noday, and Ron Tooley. Dig Peter Erskine on drums..dynamite.
One of the few times that Snooky was featured. "Ain't Whatcha Do". I think the whole band enjoyed watching/listening to Snooky, section mate John Audino especially. This is really, really nice.
From a video done in Germany. Have always really liked this tune. Trumpets are Al Porcino, Lynn Nicholson (fresh from MF's band), Earl Gardner and Frank Gordon
Another clip from the Canadian Stage Band Festival. If you had never seen Primal Scream live, it was much better than the recorded version.. IMHO. Mark Colby is the sax soloist, Gordon Johnson bass, and Joe Mosello on the congas.
From the Budweiser Newport Jazz Festival. Soloists include MF, Daniel Jordan on tenor, Tim Ries on alto, Denis DiBlasio on baritone sax, piccolo and scat singing, Ron Pedley piano.
Split into 2 parts. A driving BR solo.. wish I could've seen this piece live. Recorded in London 11-14-1971. The same tour and band that resulted in the RCA recording of BR at Ronnie Scott's club.
